Document Search Help
Author's Name |
Enter in all or a portion of the author's name. The search routine does a partial
match so if you enter in Smith, the information provided would bring up all
resources that match authors like "Smith" and "Smitherson". The more information
provided, the narrower your search results, searching for Doe, John M. would
match only the resources authored by "Doe, John M."
|
Document Title: |
Does a phrase partial match against the resources titles. The same technique is
used that is used for the author's name. The more words that you provide,
the narrower results will be. All words provided must be matched in that order.
Searching for childhood coach would match a resource with the actual title of
"Experiences of childhood coaching", but would not match a resource with the title
of "Coaching a Child".

Keywords: |
To enter in a list of keywords, just seperate each keyword with a space.
To enter in a list of keyphrases, place " (Double Quotes) around the phrase.
For multiple keyphrases, separate each phrase with a space.
Provide a list of keywords or keyphrases that will be matched against
the list of keywords provided by the author. Each keyword will be compared to all
resource keywords looking for a partial match. If a keyphrase is given, the phrase
must match a phrase within the list or resource keywords. Example: word1 word2 "Phrase One" "Phrase Two" word3 word4 |
** NOTE ** |
The more fields that you fill in the broader your search becomes. If you provide
an author name, a document title, and keywords / phrases, the search results will
return all resources that match the author and all resources that match the
document title and all the resources that match any of the keywords or phrases.
